I would like to extend a very special welcome today to Dakota Bryant.
My eldest child is having her baby today. He will arrive sometime in the morning via scheduled C-Section. I am writing this post well before his arrival so I don't have any of the vital details just yet. I will try to get on and post a comment providing all the great information that I'm sure you all want to know.
So this is to me - becoming a Grandma - and a big Happy Birthday to Dakota.
Edit to Add:
Dakota Bryant weighed in at 5 lbs, 4.8 oz.
He was about 16 and 3/4 inches long.
He's so tiny and cute. He has a full head of light brown hair. The blankets that he was all wrapped up in weighed more than he did.

Word has it that mommy and Dakota are doing wonderful this morning.
Too bad I couldn't hang out with them, but honestly it is best that I'm not there. She needs to learn how to be a mom on her own without Grandma (me) stepping in to take over.
