New Year's Eve is quickly approaching. It's the end of the old. The beginning of the new. It's a time to move forward and make changes.
Do you let your children stay up all night and ring in the new year with noise makers and fireworks?
Do you all go to bed early and ignore the festivities?
Do you make resolutions and ask your children to do the same?
I don't think there is any right or wrong way to celebrate the new year. For us, the girls get to spend the night with Grandma while we attend a party. I don't really do resolutions, though. I try not to set myself up for failure...

There were years in the past that the younger children were up because we celebrated the incoming year at church. The last couple of years my oldest and I have watched the ball drop on television and drank sparkling cider. I think I've only been to a party once. I definitely don't let my three young ones stay up, I feel like that's my time to think, reflect, call my friends who I know will be up... I'd like to do something different at least once. I'm looking forward to one day sharing that moment with a special someone... hopefully of the opposite sex. LOL
Happy New Year! It seems to be coming so quickly. Don't know if I'm ready or not! Kisses to the girl, hugs for you and hubby!
I used to keep resolutions before when i was a kid but not anymore.I do celebrate New Year's Eve.Wish you a very happy 2010!
Hubby usually works on New Years eve so The girl and I will rent a movie, pop a big bowl of popcorn and crawl into my bed. Then about 15 minutes before midnight we put on one of the local New Years Eve shows and enjoy. We started this about 3 yrs ago and I love it!
I hope you have an amazing New Years!
