Clean Bathtub

Everybody loves having a sparkling clean bathtub.

Nobody likes to scrub the bathtub to make it sparkling clean.

Well - almost nobody....

If you need to entertain your preschool children, you can set them to work scrubbing your bathtub. Seriously, they won't mind at all.

Fill the tub with about 3 to 4 inches of warm water.

Strip your little one and put her in the tub.

Add a bar of soap, a washcloth, and a toothbrush. A few extra bath toys are always a good idea, too.

Stand back and watch as your little one begins scrubbing your tub with her soap and toothbrush. She will think it's all fun and games. You will know that you're getting her started early on household chores.

Now, your tub won't be perfectly clean. However, it is likely to get cleaner than it would have any other way. (Not that any of you simply overlook cleaning the tub...)

That is a great idea - too bad they don't find it as fun when they are teens!

I don't have kids, but this is perhaps one of the best reasons to have one that I have ever heard. LOL!

I guess that's why I take showers not that I'm a germaphobic, but I could never stand the thought of no matter how clean a tub might look someone elses crappy germs might possibly be there and inter parts of my body. No way would I let my naked kid clean a tub, but that's just me sounds like a great idea though.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you don't actually have any kids. I might be wrong, but ...

Kids don't generally take showers until they are much older. They don't like the water hitting their heads and running down in their faces.

I may have to try this one day. :)

BTW: I thought about the same thing concerning the airbag! That was one of my first thoughts. Aren't some people crazy?

That's an idea I might go for. I have seen my kids do scrub the tub with their play towel or sponge while playing during bath time.

Should I have a kid just so they can clean my bathtub? I hate cleaning the bathtub!

You're right I don't have a child any more he died in December at 39 and no he didn't take showers till he was older and I always scrubbed the tub before I would ever let him in it and no I wasn't actually a germaphobic, but I did have phobias.
